Gastronomy:
We serve our guests standard lunch and dinner menus, as well as breakfast, tea, snacks
and coffee breaks.
Our cafeteria offers a variety of smaller meals and beverages. It's open every day from 10:00 AM until 2:00 AM.
We also offer our meal service to public and private institutions as well as to other costumers that organize different events in our hotel (such as
conventions, conferences, business and working meetings, cocktail receptions, wedding and birthday parties and other social or family celebrations).

PLACES OF INTEREST
Calle Calle and Valdivia Rivers: Two beautiful river beds form the poetic "Camino de la Luna" ("Path
of the Moon") having the Teja Island and Costanera Avenue as its background setting.
Costanera Avenue: A long riverside walk or ride highlighted by the Calle Calle and Pedro de Valdivia bridges, the
residential area, the beautiful well kept gardens, and various types of vessels and sailboats constantly sailing.
Schuster Dock and Riverside Market: Starting point for tourism ships and motor boats which go on river
daytrips throughout the area. The riverside market is an attractive seafood and vegetable trade center.
Spanish Fortified Towers (Torreones Españoles): Living testimony of the Spanish colonial period, built in the XVIII
century to defend and support the accessess to the city.
Universidad Austral de Valdivia: An important education and research center of international prestige, located on Teja
Island. It has a beautiful public botanical garden and arboretum with trees from all over the world displaying samples of around 1,000 native and exotic species and
different types of flowers.
Mauricio Van de Maele History and Anthropology Museum: A place to learn almost all about the local Mapuche Indian
Culture, the Spanish colonial period and the German settlement including ancient pieces and maps of historical interest.
Saval Park: An attractive green space on Teja Island whith the most amazing Loto Lagoon and its beautiful November
blooms, a "medialuna" for rodeos, an area for horseback riding, a children's playground and a beautiful picnic area.
Guillermo Harnecker Public Park: 4.5 hectares of native species, located near Calle Calle bridge, with a tree nursery,
an ecological education area, childrens' playground, picnic area and multi purpose courts and soccer fields.
Niebla: Beach resort located 17 km from Valdivia which can be reached both by road and water. Its main attractions:
beautiful beaches surrounded by great natural beauty; a Spanish fortress from 1671; the Vergara Davila Municipal Park which includes the thick "Selva Valdiviana"
(Valdivian Jungle) with paths and childrens' playgrounds.
Mancera Island: An island located at the end of Corral Bay in the mouth of the Valdivia River with the San Pedro de
Alcántara's Castle (1645), the remains of a baroque church (1777) and small beaches around the island for safe bathing.
Corral - Amargos - San Carlos: Different attractions near by Valdivia: the San Sebastián de la Cruz Castle (built in
1767); the Amargos fishing bay (2 km from Corral); the open beaches and a fort (built in 1762)of San Carlos (6 km from Corral).

Valdivia is well known for its German "delikatessen": chocolates, almond paste (marzipan), liquors and beer. You may visit the most famous factories: "Entrelagos"
(chocolate and marzipan) - "Sur" (sweets) - "Fehremberg" (fruit brandies an liquors) - "Kunstmann" (beer).
It is also an important production and trade center for handicrafts, with many fairs and specialty stores in the area.
The city is a great starting point for outings and excursions to the Lakes District ("Región de los Lagos") with its beautiful lakes and lagoons which have given
its name to the region, to important cities (Osorno, Frutillar, Puerto Varas, Puerto Montt, Ancud, Castro), to the Archipelago of Chiloe with its more than thousend
islands and its different culture and traditions.
