Linares has several turistic attractions: The Cathedral, the Art and Handicraft Museum,
the city's Main Square (Plaza de Armas) and the municipal market, among others.
In the foothills of the Andes mountains you can't miss the thermal hotsprings of
Panimávida and Quinamávida, both with therapeutic water.
In Longaví you can see Mount Nevado, and in Rari, you can find horsehair handicrafts.
Rari is the only place in the world where they make this kind of crafts. The big dams of
Colbún and Machicura are also located here.
The Rural Tourism Circuit takes travellers along the foothills of the Andes mountains,
to the Cajón de Vega de Salas (Canyon), to Los Bellotos del Nevado, to the Ancoa Dam,
Pejerrey, Monte Oscuro and other lovely places in the area.
Yerbas Buenas is a very typical colonial town, authentic and very well preserved where
time seems to have stopped.
In two hours you can
reach the coast, the beaches in Constitución, Peyuhue and Curanipe - a quiet and
picturesque town with mud brick houses, surrounded by forests, valleys, fields and
meadows and the sea.
In the same area you can also visit Villa Alegre and the Jerónimo Lagos de Bilbao
Museum, (a colonial style house), the Balduzi vineyard and its wine cellars and the
wine museum.
